I think that the main theme Jesus is communicating in the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32) is that there has been free will allowed to everyone. However, it is up to the human being to decide how to use the free will and in what manner to use free will. Jesus Christ will always be there for us to forgive us and to make us repent for our past sins to go back to Him. However, when we get tempted to make mistakes or make mistakes out of the exercise of our free will, Jesus will not interfere or disturb our decision-making process.
